The project
Name: Extra curricular joint activities for both disabled and healthy children
To answer to the special needs of children
Main objectives: Extra curricular joint activities
- Conducting regular treatment sessions for children with hearing speech impediments.
- Conducting regular treatment sessions for children with learning disabilities.
- Conducting recreational activities in certain occasions.
We affirm here that we do all we can through implementing various programs, in cooperation with the specialist department in the Ministry of education, Bethlehem
Arab Society, and some other institutions concerned with children, to address these problems And prevent it from becoming a widespread phenomenon in our
society.
- Project requirements:
There is no doubt that the continuity of the project is urgent and essential need to our society. All statistics, studies, assessments and recommendations of different resources refer to a remarkable rise in the number of the category of children suffering from the problems that we are dealing with. The Ministry of Education in Bethlehem, transfer many cases to receive our cervices until we transfer them back to regular schools or vocational centers.
- Project objectives:
Contributing to the reduction of the negative conditions of the targeted group by providing alternative special services:
- Intensification of advanced educational programs, through using systematic special games and toys.
- Intensification of entertainment and recreational activities.
- Intensification of the Family-Visit Program, and supporting the targeted children at home.
- Intensification of training courses and raise awareness sessions targeting the working staff and family members.
- Increase the ability to reach the largest possible number of disabled children regardless their distance from our organization.
Target groups:
Children from 3 to 12 years with:
- hearing and speech disabilities;
- slow learning difficulties;
- physical disabilities;
- family of the disabled particularly the mothers;
- teachers and guides;
- elementary schools in the region
The organization
Main
objectives:
To provide a humanitarian and decent life for the people with special needs;
Work to integrate people with special needs within the community;
To provide basic services for people with special needs;
To provide a good level of education that allows them to enroll regular schools;
Work to provide certain professions that help them build their future;
Work to raise positive awareness among the community towards the category of people with special needs;
Work on amending and rehabilitating of public and private utilities to facilitate their movement;
To implement as many programs and recreational activities as possible, and the promotion of spirits of independence, participation, and being initiative in life;
Providing as much tools as possible to help those in need for them, free of charge.
