The Support Fund : generalities

1-     General presentation of PIA

The Inter-Associative Programme (PIA) comes from a long-term consultation and reflection process undertaken over several years by French and Palestinian organizations.

General objective:

-         Contributing to the improvement in the standard of living for children aged 3 to 12 years old who find themselves in a vulnerable situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Specific objective:

-         Within the framework of French-Palestinian consultations, promoting the well-being and the development of the children through the implementation of non-formal educational activities in their living-spaces.

 2-     Role of the Support Fund in the framework of the PIA

The implementation of this Support Fund aims to help Palestinian and French organizations to work together on the issue of childhood, to develop partnerships between Palestinian organizations and between Palestinian and French organizations, and to co-finance projects which contribute to the implementation of the PIA objectives.

This Support Fund, through the projects implemented, must be a laboratory of research and brainstorming for the implementation of the next three-year-phase.

Moreover, this Fund can strengthen the capacities of the participating organizations and will contribute to the quality of the implementation of the actions.

The objectives of the Support Fund

-         To contribute to the achievement of the expected results of the PIA during the pilot phase ;

-         To build a real and active network ;

-         To diversify the type of partners who can be involved in this Programme (according to the PIA priorities) ;

-         To support and co-finance projects led in the framework of the Programme;

-         To improve the capacities of the Palestinian organizations by organizing training activities based on the implication of several actors involved in the PIA.
